MSI Unveils New CR41 Notebook

With the necessity for more portable versions of laptop computers in the form of notebooks, several computer manufacturers these days already have their own line of these wireless devices. Although not among the top notch computer manufacturers, MSI is competitive enough for not letting themselves be left behind by having their own and new notebook under its CR series of laptops.


And MSI didn’t just create a portable device that will make them belong to the notebook bandwagon. They certainly created one that can serve a considerable amount of laptop users in the market. With its amazing features, it can certainly compete with the other notebooks manufactured by the computer manufacturing giants.

MSI’s new notebook model MSI CR41 contains an Intel HM76 chipset and a third generation processor Core. Although classified as a notebook, its screen’s diagonal size measuring 14 inches is large enough to give convenience to its user even during prolonged work. Furthermore, its resolution of 1366×768 pixels makes it convenient to view images, videos and even movies. With its dimensions measuring 349.7 x 234 x 8 – 32.0 mm and weighing only 2.4 kg, it can certainly give convenience and mobility which are two of the most important features that consumers are looking for in a notebook.

 The CR41 also has an 8 Gb of memory standard DD3 1333 MHz. As for the hard disk capacity, consumers can choose among the 500, 640 or 750 GB Optical Drive DVD. 

Connectivity features is also promising with the CR41 notebook. The wireless modules are considerably fast with the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Another wireless module available is the Bluetooth 4.0. Other features are the LAN Ethernet, card reader, 1.3 megapixel webcam, two 2-watts speakers with support for SRS, two USB 3.0 ports, SD slot, headphone, and microphone jacks.

Further to these features mentioned, another noteworthy specification is the powerful battery that comes with this notebook. With its 6-cell battery capacity of 4400 mAh, it boasts of up to 7.5 hours of battery life. Recharging the battery doesn’t take too long with the capability to be charged up to 80% after 80 minutes of battery charging. 

When it comes to the operating system, we can surely tell that MSI has intended the CR41 notebook to be updated in the market for a couple more years to come. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium but it can also be used with the upcoming Windows 8. Therefore, consumers should not worry about being left behind in buying this notebook now since they can always update to Windows 8 should they wish so in the future.
